Description
Two houses, separated by a line in the grass and a bitter, decades-old grudge. Growing up as next-door neighbors, Barrett and Minho were given strict instructions to treat each other as enemies. Instead, they built a quiet, rule-breaking alliance in the dark, communicating only through their facing bedroom windows and meeting under the cover of night. To their families, they are strangers. In reality, they are each other's only escape. Leaving for university offers a chance to finally break free from the weight of their families' hostility. To survive off-campus, they orchestrate a massive lie: coordinating a joint lease on a tiny, shared apartment while convincing their parents they are living completely alone. But dropping the performance of being enemies means facing the reality of who they are to each other. Confined to a single living space with no fences, no hedges, and no distance between them, the boundaries they spent years establishing begin to blur, forcing them to confront what happens when the secrets they keep from their families start turning inward.
