The story talks about young adult love, between the son and daughter of two enemies. Mr Riccardo (a rich political man with underground shady businesses) and Mr Adamaro ( a farmer barley trying to get by )  has refused to talk about the past and let things go between them. The hate between the two families has put a wedge between the love blossoming among their children , this lead to the drastic step that was taken to separate them for good. 

 Mr Adamaro being able to fool his son(Enea) and Greta (Adamaro's daughter) into believing he accepted their relationship,he got his son engaged without a means of escape for him and removed Greta from his life the same night. Enea prioritizing the fact that his girlfriend suddenly disappeared, didn't bother to take action concerning the engagement he has been forced into . 

Greta is trafficked out of her county and sold as a sex slave, while Adamaro's find a decaying body few days later that mysteriously matches Greta's DNA . Enea and his family is blamed for Greta's death by the Adamaro's even though there was no prove to them being involved, the Adamaro's believed they killed their daughter.

Enea finds out his forced finance is pregnant for him after a mistake that occured while he was mourning his lose and now he has to take responsibility.
