Karma: "The totality of a person's actions and conduct during successive incarnations, regarded as causally influencing his or her destiny." Karma is like water. It flows endlessly with one's soul and it is naturally choppy. Each jagged rock represents an obstacle to overcome and learn from. Marina believes that karma cleanses people of their misgivings with each new life; it gives them another opportunity to learn from their mistakes. If they fail, karma gives them what they deserve. Yet, with so much cruelty and evil in the world, why does karma seem to miss so many people?
