Description
An angel becomes a guardian for a human haunted by a dark curse. *** Azrael is a Seraph, part of a dying race that is able to manipulate magic. Plagued for centuries by a parasite able to turn them into mindless monsters known as Revenants, the Seraphim homeland has been long since lost. Azrael is one of the few left that have put it upon themselves to find a way to end the scourge, with little hope. Her journey leads her to Kespen, where she encounters Adira, a human mysteriously targeted by the Revenants. Bound by the ever-present darkness within her own heart, protecting the young woman becomes a perilous undertaking beyond Azrael's expectations, but, perhaps she can save Adira from the monsters...and from herself. Meanwhile, a new and disturbing threat is spreading through the streets of the city that Jupyter agent Vasilisa 'Lisa' Kirova is sworn to protect. Working alongside her dashing vampire partner Roman, the pair seeks to stem the rising tide of terror caused by an underground criminal mastermind only known as The Baron. Yet as their investigation intensifies, so too does the undeniable attraction growing between them. In the face of a deadly supernatural scourge and an escalating species war, Kespen teeters on the precipice of eternal chaos, as the race against time to avert an irreversible catastrophe begins.

The heroes we create are a symbol and a reflection of our human potential. They represent the very best of what we can and should strive for. They encourage us to reach higher, to try harder, and to go further than we ever thought possible. They push us to see beyond the boundaries of our everyday life, to dream about what we could be instead of fretting about what we are. And perhaps most important of all, they remind us that there is still something fundamentally good in all of humanity. For all our flaws, mistakes, and weaknesses, we have the ability to pick ourselves up and strive to better ourselves and overcome our limitations. This is why we need heroes. ○-●-○-●○-●-○-●○-●-○-●○-●-○-●○-●-○ "Don't just write strong female characters, write strong characters that are female."
