Government officials swore ignorance to the virus's origin, but among the citizens, 'population control gone wrong' conspiracies gained momentum, and as one would expect, violence ensued. Eleven. Eleven months was all it took for society to crumble. Nura has spent ten of them (and pretty much her whole life) sheltered from the world, but everything changes after the anomalous abduction of her little brother. It'll be a fight against time, the infected, nature, the ever-present a**holes - and of course - herself, building impenetrable relationships along the way. And she'll need them.. Turns out, the greatest threat to humanity cannot be eradicated with a gun. ___________________________________ ⚠️ WARNING ⚠️ This is similar to a "zombie" or "apocalyptic" type of setting, and may mention or describe sensitive material such as extreme violence, death, blood, cannibalism, suicidal thoughts, child/infant illness, child/infant death, phobias, sexual assault, abuse, torture, strong language and so on. I enter the room just as he rips her dress, eyes trained on the back of his head. I catch a glimpse of her face - amazing in every way - but full of despair as her world is pulled out from under her. Except, I won't let it. I sweep my Bowie through his ******, seizing him by the neck, and hurl him into the steel table. ***** erupts from the wound, and he clutches at his ****** as though it could save him; eyes wild with terror. He knows death will be upon him soon. I know it too. "You like to prey on the meek.." Despite his ****** being ******* he manages a gurgle. "Let's see how you do against me."'
